A Novel Technique for Realization of Circular Polarization in Planar Inverted F Antenna | IJSRD

In this paper various techniques for realization of circular polarization in Planar Inverted F Antenna for Nano satellite applications at 2.4Ghz (s-Band) is presented and several research works done on PIFA are categorized and discussed. PIFA is most commonly used and extensively demanded antenna especially in mobile communication because of its low profile, moderate gain, good radiation pattern, multiband operation.

This  Article represents past study on planar inverted f antenna. After study of various research papers it can be concluded that with the suitable technique circular polarization can be generated in this antenna and thus can be useful in nanosatellite applications
             PIFA can be thought of as a combination of the inverted-F (IFA) and the short-circuit rectangular micro strip antennas. Quarter-wavelength Patch Antenna, which leads into the Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA). It is small and has a low profile, making it suitable for mounting on portable equipment. It is a variant of monopole where the top section has been folded down so as to be parallel with ground plane. This is done to reduce the height of the antenna, while maintaining resonant training length

Abstract

In the current study, a non-invasive technique for blood pressure (BP) measurement based on the detection of Photoplethysmographic (PPG) pulses during pressure-cuff deflation was compared to sphygmomanometry—the Korotkoff sounds technique. The PPG Senor used to measure blood pressure using the technique of correlation of volume and pressure. The performance of portable and wearable biosensorsis highly influenced by motion artifact, artery stiffness, measurement sites, light wavelength, sensor pressure, A novel real time system is proposed for accurate motion-tolerant extraction of heart rate (HR) and pulse oximeter oxygen saturation (SpO2) from wearable Photoplethysmographic (PPG) biosensors. Recently, monitoring of blood pressure fluctuation in the daily life is focused on in the hypertension care area to predict the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease events. The main problem is using with digital BP monitoring machine is Doctors are not believe on digital machines they believe with only sphygmomanometer. In this paper, in order to propose an alternative system to the existed ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) sphygmomanometer, to sort out the problems using small wearable device consisting of photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensors. Recent advances in optical technology have facilitated the use of high-intensity green LEDs for PPG, increasing the adoption of this measurement technique. In this paper, we briefly present the problems of PPG sensor and recent developments in wearable pulse rate sensors with green LEDs.

Study of Effect of Climatological Variables on Crop Yeild Estimation Using Multiple Linear Regression

Abstract

An attempt has been made to carry out the study of determining the predominant climatological variables in estimating the crop yield. The climatological data are collected for the period 1981- 2006 and correlated with yield of cotton in Vallabh Vidyanagar using Multiple Linear Regression. The Climatological variables considered are Maximum Temperature, Minimum Temperature, Relative Humidity, Wind Speed and Sunshine Hours. The multiple linear models have been developed, to study their impact in prediction of the crop yield. The study has been carried out with eight different combinations of the five independent variables considered, to correlate with the crop yield. In each combination, i.e 1 to 8, the whole data is divided into proportions for training and Validation, such as 70% and 30% & 60% and 40% respectively. The developed Multiple Linear Regression Models are evaluated based on the performance indices such as Root Mean Squared Error and Correlation Coefficient. Based on the evaluation, the models developed are found to perform better in 60%-40% proportion of the data considered for the Study. Therefore in this considered proportion of the dataset, the models developed are ranked based on the obtained R.M.S.E. and R. The results clearly show that the consideration of all the variables, yield the best model with minimum R.M.S.E. and maximum R, followed by the combinations considering Maximum Temperature, Minimum Temperature, Relative Humidity as dependent variables along with/without Wind Speed/Sunshine hours. Moreover excluding the Relative Humidity, and trying the combinations of Maximum Temperature, Minimum Temperature along with/without Wind Speed/Sunshine Hours yields the poor models with maximum R.M.S.E. amd Minimum R. Hence considering multiple linear regression models and the eight combinations studied, it reveals that the yield of a crop is very much dependent on maximum and minimum temperatures & relative humidity.

Abstract : Weather reflects the short term change in our atmosphere, the volatile variable in our environment. Monitoring weather trends can give us an insight into the environment around us. The aim of this paper is to build an automated real time weather monitoring system by leveraging the power of Open Source Hardware. Never has the open source community been this much connected and implementation of this technology so convenient. All data is collected by different types of sensors available locally and are controlled using a microcontroller. Meteorological parameters being considered here are: Temperature, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, Rainfall and Wind Speed. Parameters like Heat Index and Wind Chill which are derived from combinations of Temperature &Humidity and Temperature & Wind-Speed respectively can also be calculated.

Sliced bread and its inventor, Otto Rohwedder, both celebrate a birthday today. Rohwedder was born on July 7, 1880, and the first sliced loaves were sold on July 7, 1928.

Every invention that makes life easier is now deemed "the greatest thing since sliced bread," but the idea of presliced bread actually took a while to catch on. Rohwedder spent over 10 years trying to get a bakery to try out his machine. Bakers thought that their customers simply wouldn't be impressed and wouldn’t care if their bread was presliced or not. Skeptics were also worried that the presliced bread would become stale faster or would crumble and fall apart during the slicing, according to the Constitution-Tribune.

In the current scenario the world is plagued by accidents which are primarily due to human errors in judgment and hence thousands of lives are lost. These accidents can be avoided if only there was a mechanism to alert the driver of approaching danger. This can be done by monitoring the distance between nearby cars and alerting the driver whenever the distance becomes too short. This is precisely the aim of this paper. In this paper we propose the use of Bluetooth Technology by which we can check the speed of the car whenever it comes dangerously close to any other vehicle up front, thereby saving very many lives.
