#IJSRD Technology That Allows Users to See Through Walls and Melt Objects

It would be interesting to note that the researchers have also been working on an invention that would make it possible for users to see and sense virtual objects. The new technology is called Visuo-Haptic Augmented Reality and it allows an individual to manipulate a 3D object by making use of a head mounted screen and touch-based gadgets.

#IJSRD new research in Sixth sens By Microsoft

RFID based enterprise intelligence
The vision of the SixthSense project in the MNS group at Microsoft Research India is the workplace or home of the future where computing is extended to encompass non-computing entities such as people, objects, and spaces to enable rich user experiences. For instance, we would like users to be able to search the physical world for objects they may have misplaced or use physical events to index their experiences (e.g., "was my laptop with me when I received a phone call from person X?").

# ijsrd – Intel releases rare details of its custom CPUs for Oracle – and there’s a lot more to come

We’ve known for quite some time that Intel was building special versions of certain cores for its large data center customers, but the chip giant has kept the details of the implementation secret — even when negotiating for contracts with companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon.
Now, some details on Intel’s deal with Oracle have come to light, and they shed light on the kinds of optimizations the company is baking in. Specifically, Intel’s new Xeon E7-8895 V2 is identical to the Xeon E7-8890 V2 released last winter — but the new 15-core chip (pictured above) has received some validation cycles that the other Xeon hasn’t had.
The enhancements that Intel is discussing all relate to server version of Turbo Mode. When Intel sells a consumer chip — say, a Core i7-4960X — it verifies that the chip can run at certain increased frequencies with a given core count. Two cores might hit 4GHz, four cores top out at 3.9GHz, and all six cores could be limited to 3.7GHz at most.
What Intel has done with the new E7-8895 V2 is to validate the core at the clock speeds and frequencies that other components in the stack would normally target — and to allow it to switch to these alternate operating modes on the fly. Do you want an E7-8895 V2 (15 cores, 3.4GHz maximum clock) to reconfigure itself as an E7-8893 (6 cores, 3.7GHz maximum clock)? The new chip can do that without even requiring a reboot.
Intel-Stack-640x317
The new Xeon E7-8895 V2 can reconfigure itself to look like the 8891 or 8893 on the fly.
Intel has also released a taped interview with the data center group’s general manager, Diane Bryant, in which she states that this kind of collaboration is central to Intel’s long-term plans. “As our collaboration continues, we are actually co-defining — with the Oracle engineers [and] with the Intel engineers — next-generation instructions that will further accelerate the Oracle database solution, and those will be coming in future processor generations. Things such as memory enhancements, vector manipulation acceleration, and cluster interconnect performance acceleration.”
Intel also stated that the new Xeons can hit lower power targets than typical chips and possibly spin the cores up more quickly, but the company hasn’t released any information on this. The implication is that the company may actually be power gating the cores to nearly off, in order to use as much thermal headroom as possible to ramp up frequency on the other chips. Presumably there’s some additional validation associated with this — if Intel wants to hit higher Turbo frequencies with a given number of cores, it needs to know which CPU cores can hit those frequencies and which it should power gate.

#IJSRD What is SAP Testing?

The SAP (System Applications Products) testing is same as software application manual testing but here the applications are the SAP R/3 (it is an ERP system) and Enterprise portal. So, whenever you get a change in R/3 and Portal, you need to come up with test cases for the new functionality and test the changes in the application. The SAP tester needs common testing mind with SAP tools knowledge like HR, SD and CRM etc will help in understanding the system and testing the applications.

#ijsrd ZigBee Based Weather Station Monitoring System | ijsrd journal | ijsrd.com

Abstract---Many significant weather events have affected our life over the years. Today, the temperature, wind and other weather parameters are of equal concern and can have an even greater impact on our high-tech life style. Weather affects a wide range of man’s activities. This can cause the movement of gases through the atmosphere. Also, in an industry during certain mishap it is very difficult to monitor the parameters through wires and analog devices. So to overcome this problem we can use wireless device to monitor the parameters. By monitoring this parameters we can take certain steps in worst cases. In this weather station monitoring systems, different parameters like temperature, light, humidity, wind direction and speed, gas level are all sensed using sensors.

What Is the Difference Between a Thesis and a Dissertation? IJSRD.com

Learn some tips on how to write the best thesis or dissertation.
So you are beginning your graduate program, reading over all the material and trying to prepare yourself as best as possible for the next two to three years. You’re already looking forward to graduation and figuring out exactly what will be required in order to receive your degree on time. What you've probably discovered is that whether you are pursuing a masters degree or a doctoral degree, the main goal in graduate school is to complete original research or projects, depending on your degree program.
The words “thesis” and “dissertation” are often used interchangeably, leading to some confusion in academia about what each individual word actually means. The main similarity between the dissertation and the thesis is the structure. Both have an introduction, literary review, main body, conclusion, bibliography and appendix. But that is the extent in which they are similar.
Differences Between a Masters Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation
Generally in the US, a thesis is the final project for the masters degree and a dissertation leads to a doctoral degree. Those pursuing a masters degree must perform research on a specific subject that demonstrates their knowledge acquired through their program. Seeking a PhD is different in that your dissertation must contribute something completely new and undiscovered to your field. In other words, you have to contribute original knowledge to the subject. So the main difference between a thesis and a dissertation is the depth of knowledge you must attain in order to write the paper.
A masters degree thesis is more closely related to a research paper that you would have completed during college. You are expected only to use the research of others and provide your own analysis on your discoveries. It demonstrates your level of critical and analytical thinking and defines the subject that you are most interested in pursuing within your field. With a dissertation, you are expected to use the research of others only to guide you in your own research to come up with a completely new hypothesis.
Another way in which the thesis and dissertation differ are in length. A masters degree thesis is typically over 100 pages. However, the dissertation is usually at least double and sometimes triple the length of a thesis. To determine the length of your thesis or dissertation, remember you should always first consult your grad school.
Tips For Writing a Thesis or Dissertation
The first step in writing your thesis or dissertation (or any other academic paper) is setting a deadline. You don’t want your deadline to be the due date of the paper because you need to leave enough time to get it proofread and to make any additional changes. You should keep a journal of your ideas to help with the writing process. The next step is to create a detailed outline of your paper.
When beginning to write your thesis or dissertation, keep in mind that you are writing an academic paper. Not many people besides your professors and academic advisors will read your thesis, so make sure to keep your writing style formal.
Consult a scholarly text to see how your thesis or dissertation should be structured. Once you have written and edited your thesis or dissertation, you should find an editor. Some editors will only check spelling and grammar issues, while others will check for overall continuity and flow. Determine what you need before searching for an editor.
